Exist Archive is directed and written by Valkyrie Profile (Masaki Norimoto) with character design by Mino Taro (Love Plus).The titles main gameplay focus is dungeon exploration. Players will explore dungeons in a side-scrolling view as 3D chibi-designed characters and can use skills such as dashing and jumping to solve puzzles to proceed. Enemies are not random as they will appear on screen before battle. You can also gain the upper hand by attacking them before entering battle.Exist Archive utilizes the "Active Chain Battle" system that allows up to four characters to participate in a battle. Each party member is assigned to Circle, X, Square, or the Triangle button, pressing the button tied to the corresponding character carries out an attack.
