In many ways, based on Capcom's recent HD remake frenzy which started off with the recently released PS3 Resident Evil HD Remaster, seeing this news is no surprise; it was only a matter of time before the PSX Classic Resident Evil 2 got the green light, and today we're looking at the official announcement video!What's more interesting is the sudden wave of recent remakes, and this is completely conjecture, but it seems that Capcom is gaging the market to see perhaps what they will have in store for the future, especially with a lack of big name releases for the current gen, save Street Fighter and Monster Hunter. Could we be looking at the precursor to Resident Evil 7, or something entirely new? As well, will the release once again only be an Asian/Japan Physical exclusive?
